This project aims to enhance the role of CSOs in defending and advocating for youth rights and liberties, specifically the right to freedom of expression and access to information.
By using networking and coalition building with CSOs and youth activists this project increased knowledge and advocacy for youth rights and liberties. Youth participation will be enhanced in the political, democratic reform arenas and in the development of civil society. Hayat partnered with seven organizations; Hayat Center for Civil Society Development - Palestine; Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights in Egypt; TDM2000 in Italy; Asociación Cultural en Construcción in Spain; Hellenic Association in Greece; Adwaa Rights in Algeria; Youth for Youth Association in Morrocco; European Youth Parliament in Germany; Stowarzyszenie Inicjatyw Mlodziezowych & Gdanski Centrum Profilaktyki Uzaleznien in Poland; and Al-Kawakibi Center in Tunisia to conduct this project, where a seminar for 5 days was conducted in Amman from December 7th until 10th, 2012.
This project was funded by the Euro-Med Unit at the Jordanian Ministry of Political Development, with a grant of 22,352 EUR.
